Acupuncture

Einstein proved that everything is made of energy. A subtle form of energy supports and vitalizes our physical body and mind. Practitioners of acupuncture call this energy Qi (chee). Other cultures have described this energy can called it by different names: vital force, ruach, prana, baraka, and waken. Qi is necessary for growth, development, protection against illness and disease, and overall regulation of the body. Our health is influenced by the quality, quantity, and balance of Qi.

Qi flows through meridians like rivers in the body. Through these meridians Qi flows nourishing, supporting and energizing the cells, tissues, muscles, glands, and organs.

When Qi is balanced and flowing freely, the body’s natural self-healing abilities are activated, enabling internal stability and harmony to occur. The body will flourish and true health and well being will be achieved.

Stress, pollution, trauma, surgery, poor diet, and bad habits can disrupt or block the flow of Qi. A disruption or block will restrict the flow of Qi and produce physical signs and symptoms over time. The body will come weakened and its self-healing abilities will be compromised.

Acupuncture is a method of treatment to restore and maintain health. Disruption and blockage of Qi flow is affected by direct manipulation of meridians through needling, cupping, moxibustion, touch (Tuina), and skin scraping (Gwa Sha).
